Why is cycling important to me? Cycling, for me, is a lifestyle, an adventure into nature, a wise and humble teacher, and a means to cultivate a diverse community. My cycling journey began thanks to expedition-length adventure racing (AR), which led me to mountain bike racing and an opportunity to stretch my limits on an all-women’s road squad. I always return to my roots in the dirt.
What am I most proud of? I am humbly proud to have won the Transylvania Epic Stage Races (MTB and gravel) multiple times, including in 2024. This year, getting the FKT on the Rockstar 250 Gravel route, being selected to the USA XCM World Champs team, placing top5 at USAC XCO Nationals, and winning the women’s division of AR Nationals while placing 4th overall were highlights.
What do I value most? The Courage it takes to Stretch Limits, Curiosity, Collaborative Creativity, Adventure, and Community.
Where do I call home? I live in the Patapsco River Valley in Ellicott City, MD. I have a small cottage with my fiancé, Jen, and our two furballs, dog “Ari” and cat “Pip E.” We fell in love with the river valley, which offers over 225 miles of singletrack trails. When not riding bikes, I run my own finish carpentry business.
How am I contributing to my Community? I believe in cultivating a safe and welcoming space, especially for WTFNB and LGBTQ cyclists who want to play, adventure, and race on bikes. I co-founded the team Knobby by Nature to create a supportive and inclusive community for WTFNB “knobby” racers, and we host regular WTFNB rides out of our local trails in Patapsco State Park. In 2023 and 2024, my partner and I launched a cohort-based endurance MTB coaching program to support our locals in achieving their goals while building skills and relationships. In 2025, with one of my teammates, we hosted a women+ adventure racing weekend retreat for folks new to the sport.
